Happy April! I hope you are doing well as we head into the Spring season. We just closed on a great 3bd/2ba townhome in Torrance for my clients - first time homebuyers who are very excited about their new home! I also just helped another client get their offer accepted on a great fixer opportunity in Carson... we beat out a competitive field of 10+ offers, thanks in large part to my amazing Rocket Mortgage loan officer Wendy Li, who was very proactive in reassuring the listing agent of the buyer's strength and our ability to close. The market is really heating up in the last few weeks - the number of listings in the South Bay is up 8% over last month, while the number of sales is up a whopping 31%! Properties that are priced at market value or slightly below are getting a ton of interest and offers, especially in hot markets like Torrance and North Redondo... some listings with 8-10+ offers after the first weekend of open houses! It's a very competitive market right now, which can definitely be frustrating for buyers, so it's extremely important to find a good agent who will guide you through the process and do all the little and big things to help you get your offer accepted.
